At Home Base, Cassandra Falone drives internal and external communications initiatives and proactive media relations activities to drive awareness of the expertise, clinical research and inspiring stories of Home Base. With storytelling at the forefront of her work, Cassandra works closely with staff to develop content for the website, social media, e-communications, advertising and video. She also supports the planning, marketing, and execution of Home Base’s signature fundraising events. While not a veteran herself, she has a deep respect for our military personnel and fully supports all of her family and friends who have served along with those still serving.
Throughout her experience, Cassandra has held a wide range of positions in the communications industry. Her career began at Boston’s NBC affiliate news station: WHDH-TV, where she served as a news writer. She then went on to work as a media relations officer at Massachusetts General Hospital, covering several clinical beats. Most recently, Cassandra worked at American Well, a telehealth software, and healthcare services company, as their consumer content and social media manager.
Cassandra graduated from Boston University, with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and a secondary degree in Spanish.
