Where are you based? How did you end up there?
North Shore, Massachusetts. I grew up here.

Tell us more about your company! What do you do and what pushed you to start?
I struggled with mental health, self-esteem, and addiction for much of my life, which left me disconnected from the present moment. Yoga and expressive arts therapy helped me find presence, self-love, and pride in who I am.

Jill Manos Yoga Therapy exists to create a space where others can sit with their discomfort, become more present, and connect deeply with themselves and the world. I aim to provide transformative experiences that encourage self-discovery and healing.

What is your definition of success? How do you know when you’ve reached it?
Success is creating a world where I can be fully present while holding space for others to do the same. I know I’ve reached it each time I establish meaningful connections or achieve a new goal.

Tell us about your most transformational moment as an entrepreneur.
Leaving a secure job to pursue Yoga Therapy full-time was transformational. Fully leaning into my authentic self and showing up solely from that place was scary but incredibly rewarding.

What was one of your biggest challenges in business?
Finances and self-doubt have been ongoing challenges. I’ve had concerns about asking for the money I deserve, being financially stable, and sustaining a successful practice.

How do you handle the harder days? The struggles?
I spend time with my dog, partner, and friends, engaging in food, adventures, and creativity. I also lean into my art and call my therapist when needed.

How has being a Boston Business Women Inner Circle member positively influenced your life + business?
Being part of BBWIC has instilled new belief in myself, my opportunities, and my potential. It has boosted my confidence and excitement about new connections.

Tell us about your most proud moment in your career.
I’m most proud of believing in myself enough to go full-time with my practice, pushing past impostor syndrome, and continuing to grow through challenges. Each day, I feel proud of the work I’ve put in.

Who is the woman behind your business? What does she like? How does she spend her free time? What does she value?
I am a quirky, kind human who loves spending quality time with my partner, dogs, and friends. I enjoy beaches, outdoor adventures, concerts, trying new foods, and creative expression. I value authenticity and quality time and believe showing up without masks is one of life’s greatest experiences.

What makes you stand out from others in your field? What do you do differently?
I show up authentically, drawing from lived experience and personal growth. Working with high-acuity clients and my mental health journey has enhanced my ability to hold space for discomfort. I provide unconditional positive regard, supportive inquiry, and a balance of silence and verbal expression, allowing clients to feel truly heard and seen.

Where can we keep up with you? What social media platforms do you use the most?
