Tell us more about your company! What do you do and what pushed you to start?

I fell into estate planning quite naturally. Growing up, my grandfather was the town Dr. in Franklin and I saw how much he loved his patients and his heart for service. Years later, as an attorney, one of my neighbors asked me to draft his will, and I was hooked. I loved estate planning and helping people from the get-go. Hi, I'm Amy, a Bellingham attorney who is passionate about estate planning and helping others by setting up wills, trusts, health care proxies and durable powers of attorney.

I'm also a mom of two, a bingo player, and a die-hard Patriots fan. For fun, I love to read books and guess the winners of pageants. What is something you like to do for fun?

Many people put off setting up a will or trust because they don't like to think about dying or the future, and I can relate to those worries. I try to take the stress out of estate planning and build connections with my clients, many of whom become friends.

How have you grown within your personal and professional life due to the success of your business?

I've grown so much both personally and professionally. I've always loved helping people, but to see the people I've helped thank me with tears in their eyes because I gave them peace of mind, to know that I made their futures and the futures of their children a little less hard, that is the greatest feeling.

What is your definition of success? How do you know when you’ve reached it?

Success is just leaving one person better than I found them, knowing that I gave them peace of mind, knowing that I helped secure their wishes. That's when I know I reached success. It's in the relationships and the way I make other people feel.

Tell us about your most transformational moment as an entrepreneur?

My most transformational win was putting myself out there on social media and garnering such great positive feedback. I am a bit insecure about my looks, so to put myself out there with pictures and to get so many positive reviews was amazing and it inspired me to keep going.

What was one of your biggest challenges in business?

My biggest challenge is getting clients, and I find the more I put myself out there, the more people get to know me, like me and trust me, the more business I will get.

Tell us about your most proud moment in your career.

There is not just one. There are many. Helping others is my high, the look of peace and joy on their face after our signing meeting is all I need.

Who is the woman behind your business? What does she like? How does she spend her free time? What does she value?

The woman behind my business is funny! She laughs at herself. She loves playing bingo, walking on the beach, playing with her kids, and binging Real Housewives. I never met a stranger in my life, we are all friends just waiting to meet and break bread.

What makes you stand out from others in your field? What do you do differently?

Customer service. Plain and simple. I get back to people same day, even nights and weekends. I get the job done quickly and efficiently, and my entire process takes about 2-3 weeks from start to finish. I offer a free consultation, and offer day evening and weekend appointments in person or via zoom. I offer a personal touch, warmth and compassion, and I take all the stress out of estate planning.

Where can we keep up with you? What social media platforms do you use the most?

Facebook and will be branching out on Instagram
