Boston, MA. I went to grad school in Boston. Met my prince charming on Newbury St. and the rest is history. Boston is our home.

Tell us more about your company! What do you do and what pushed you to start?

Mango & Lola is a wedding planning and booking platform that's helping couples plan their big day with ease. Also, it is an interactive and collaborative tool first of its kind in the wedding industry where couples and vendors can collaborate and work together on a wedding.

Couples create their own complementary private accounts where they can effortlessly track the progress of their wedding planning. Their account serves as a centralized hub for all their wedding details and has tons of features.

Vendors on the other hand create their own accounts which help them service all their weddings and events through a suite of tools that can assist with everything from CRM to Planning. This way the Couples and Vendors can easily collaborate on a wedding.

I started Mango & Lola to simplify the wedding planning process. Being an event planner for over a decade, I always felt there was a better and easier way of doing it than what was widely available.

How have you grown within your personal and professional life due to the success of your business?

I have learned so much about myself throughout my entrepreneurial journey. You simply learn a ton by building a new business from the ground up. They say if you want a crash course on business, start a startup. I am constantly striving to be the best person professionally and at home, as I believe you should lead by example. I work hard and set an example to my co-workers. I appreciate people, especially those who go the extra mile. It’s not really that hard to give a little extra, but very few people do it, so for those who do it, I definitely notice. In my personal life, I want to show my kids that if you work hard, and do what you love, you can do it, you just got to believe in yourself and work hard.

What is your definition of success? How do you know when you’ve reached it?

Living a meaningful life and making a positive impact in our world. Doing what I love. Being my own boss. Having the freedom to work on my own terms.

Tell us about your most transformational moment as an entrepreneur?

Deciding to dive into entrepreneurship 14 years ago, and having the courage to do it, believing in myself and my capabilities, and opening myself to this amazing journey.

What was one of your biggest challenges in business?

A big challenge in business is to keep going and to always find the motivation and inspiration to keep doing it. I feel you are either born with it or not. I am one of those people that like to work and create. A challenge is if you work with someone who is not at the same level as you are, then you need to have a difficult discussion with that person and be honest how you feel, and what is working and not working in the situation that you are both in. If the conversation is honest and well-intended, there will be a good solution out of it, but it is initially a challenge until you figure it out how to solve it. I always say go with your gut!

How has being a Boston Business Women Inner Circle member positively influenced your life + business?

It is amazing being surrounded by other entrepreneurial women, sharing experiences, ideas, and support, which fuels our collective growth and success, fostering an empowering environment where we can thrive together.

Tell us about your most proud moment in your career.

Building a business from scratch is a proud moment for me.

Who is the woman behind your business? What does she like? How does she spend her free time? What does she value?

Ana is a free-spirited woman. I am very independent. I care deeply about people, and the world. I love people, good energy, creativity, positivity, and the outdoors. I see the good in people. I love to learn new things. I love to travel as much as I can, as when we travel we see the world and learn so much. My family is key to me, and I cherish every moment I spend with them. My favorite place is the beach. I love Nutella.

What makes you stand out from others in your field? What do you do differently?

I deeply care. I am a perfectionist, and very detail oriented. I have a gift if thrown into a situation that others have a hard time solving, I can find a solution. In event planning that is key, as no matter how well you plan a wedding, you may have Plan A, Plan B, Plan C, but there will be something unexpected happening on the wedding day for sure, and someone needs to figure it out quick. Now, not only that I figure it out, I figure it out with a smile.

Where can we keep up with you? What social media platforms do you use the most?
