Whitinsville, MA (Worcester County). I live in northern Rhode Island, and Whitinsville is a midpoint for work in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island courts.
Tell us more about your company! What do you do and what pushed you to start?
At Foundations Family Law, we aim to resolve family law conflicts as peacefully as possible. We provide mediation services and legal representation for issues like divorce, custody, guardianships, post-final judgment matters, and support for survivors of domestic violence, narcissistic abuse, and coercive control. Our goal is to offer compassionate, effective legal support while protecting families.
How have you grown within your personal and professional life due to the success of your business?
Launching my own firm has skyrocketed my confidence and strengthened my mindset. Showing up authentically attracts like-minded clients, and I’ve learned the value of aligning my work with my purpose.
What is your definition of success? How do you know when you’ve reached it?
Success is earning a comfortable living while fulfilling your soul’s true calling. I know I’ve reached it when I feel at peace across all areas of life—family, work, and self.
Tell us about your most transformational moment as an entrepreneur.
Extending an employment offer to a new team member is magical for me. Creating flexible opportunities for professional working mothers and seeing my vision come to life is profoundly rewarding.
What was one of your biggest challenges in business?
Avoiding “shiny object syndrome” was a big challenge. There are so many options available to entrepreneurs, and I’ve learned to commit only to ideas that are a true “Hell, Yes!”
How has being a Boston Business Women Inner Circle member positively influenced your life + business?
BBW has been a complete gift—connecting with incredible women has led to authentic friendships, collaboration opportunities, and tens of thousands in firm revenue from referrals.
Tell us about your most proud moment in your career.
Starting my own business—betting on myself and opening my firm—was both terrifying and exhilarating, and the rewards have been incredibly satisfying.
Who is the woman behind your business? What does she like? How does she spend her free time? What does she value?
I am a sober, spiritual, and committed lifelong learner. I am a wife, mother of two, and homesteader with chickens, ducks, and Nigerian Dwarf goats. I enjoy yoga, camping, traveling, and making goat milk soap and candles. I value family, rest, creativity, and meaningful contribution.
What makes you stand out from others in your field? What do you do differently?
Foundations Family Law was created to be intentionally different: caring, dignified, and heart-centered. We prioritize respectful, amicable resolutions while being ready to take strong legal action when necessary.
Where can we keep up with you? What social media platforms do you use the most?
Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. I also co-host the Divorce Detox podcast, available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
