How long have you been a Boston Business Women member?

About 9 months

Where are you based? How did you end up there?

New Hampshire, moved from RI at 21 because of a boy lol

Tell us more about your company! What do you do and what pushed you to start?

I left the old school accounting industry because honestly it’s a boring culture of suits & ties, with an “all work no play” mentality. One day I was just DONE, I quit that corporate accounting job and never looked back!

My mission now is to work with service providers (mostly other awesome female business owners) to help them know and love their numbers. We want to be your bookkeeping bestie!

How have you grown within your personal and professional life due to the success of your business?

I have never felt more challenged! As an entrepreneur you HAVE to keep moving and growing or it will devour you! I started my firm thinking I would work with a few clients on my own, but you know what they say about plans! I soon needed to hire, and now in year two we are a team of 5. That is a whole different set of systems I needed to put in place to create a virtual workplace for my team. It has pushed me to be the boss I never had, run a company I could be proud of and share the proceeds with a team that 100% deserves it!

What is your definition of success? How do you know when you’ve reached it?

To live a life of my choosing. Travel when I want, take my dog for a walk in the middle of that day, enjoy a relaxing morning just because. When my business runs like clockwork and I can take a month long vacation I will have reached my goal.

Tell us about your most transformational moment as an entrepreneur?

The day I had to let go of a client because our goals did not align. It was hard to do because they were my biggest client at the time but being able to walk away from a situation that was causing me stress because I chose me and I was able to. In my previous positions I would have had no choice in that matter, so it felt really empowering.

What was one of your biggest challenges in business?

Getting over myself. Putting my face on social media, getting photos done and promoting myself. As a person who hasn't always had the support of people telling you it's ok to believe in yourself it felt very uncomfortable. In the beginning I felt weird even saying we were a virtual team mostly working from our home offices, because somehow that made me feel less legitimate. Even down to the way I dressed, feeling like in the professional world you can't dress fun, you have to be ``professional``. It just isn't who I am and I had to keep reminding myself - you AREN'T trying to be like the rest and that is a super power.

How has being a Boston Business Women Inner Circle member positively influenced your life + business?

It's inspiring to see other amazing woman just believing in themselves and lifting each other up.

Tell us about your most proud moment in your career.

Winning GOLD in ``Best of 603`` - other well established firms were nominated and we won! I was so proud and surprised.

Who is the woman behind your business? What does she like? How does she spend her free time? What does she value?

I am a wife and proud mom of a beautiful daughter who just turned 22. I am fun sized - just 5 feet tall. I love to travel and constantly have my next trip booked! I am obsessed with my puppy Cyrus, and he is obsessed with me. I love interior design and drive my husband crazy with my renovations. Driving my mini convertible while enjoying the sun on my face makes me feel alive.

What makes you stand out from others in your field? What do you do differently?

I make something that most people find boring or stressful fun - because we simplify it all for you. We aren't your typical accounting people - we are your bookkeeping besties!

Where can we keep up with you? What social media platforms do you use the most?

Instagram, Facebook & LinkedIn
