How long have you been a Boston Business Women member?
Reactivated my account from about 5 years ago
Where are you based? How did you end up there?
Stoneham, MA. The company is 15 years old and moved from where it was founded in Bedford, MA 5 years ago to the beautiful Boston bedroom community.
Tell us more about your company! What do you do and what pushed you to start?
I am the new owner as of September 2022 of this 15 year old business. As a healthcare entrepreneur and healthcare curriculum specialist, I saw an opportunity to implement what I teach to major brands and organizations right here in my own backyard. I believe in natural healthcare for me and my family and want it to be accessible to more families in the Boston area.
What is your definition of success? How do you know when you’ve reached it?
My big, hairy, audacious goal is to reach 1 million clients with healthcare services I've influenced by 2026!
What was one of your biggest challenges in business?
My biggest challenge in business is accepting the imbalances. The illusion of doing it all as an entrepreneur, mother, wife and friend while taking care of myself is false. There are always going to be a changing daily priority. Instead, I try to be present and always focus on the task at hand in front of me. Some moments that's a team meeting at my office and other times it is getting my two-year-old dressed for the day!
Who is the woman behind your business? What does she like? How does she spend her free time? What does she value?
I don't just talk the talk, I walk the walk. Our family revolves our structured time around our health! We love to incorporate movement and strength into our fun time as a family. All of us cook together and participate in the kitchen. When you get your kids involved early, you make new family memories and traditions that revolve around healthy habits.
What makes you stand out from others in your field? What do you do differently?
I believe in flattened hierarchy. This is the concept that anyone, no matter their position or seniority in the organization, has authority to bring up anything in our company that doesn't make sense. After prioritizing our own self-care and family, the customer experience always comes next in importance.
Where can we keep up with you? What social media platforms do you use the most?
