Tell us more about your company! What do you do and what pushed you to start?
‘A Simple Seed’ journal is a resource for teachers and students to start the day strong, teaching character values and the benefits of gratitude and positive self-talk. Daily check-ins and soul-inspiring self-recipes cultivate meaningful conversations, helping students and teachers improve cognitive function and emotional wellbeing.
The TODAY show featured our journal last November, highlighting the importance of gratitude! We hit #1 on Amazon for Children’s books, and I have shared my story through speaking engagements with kids, teachers, companies, and colleges, inspired by my daughter’s life-saving surgery at BCH and running the 2018 Boston Marathon.
What is your definition of success? How do you know when you’ve reached it?
Making a difference in the community, leaving a footprint in the world, empowering my kids and others, earning money doing what I love, fulfilling my purpose, and feeling aligned in my career.

Appearing on the TODAY show — the most magical 5 minutes of my life!
What was one of your biggest challenges in business?
Balancing four young kids, speaking, writing a book, and being a FIRE wife — managing everything is tough.
How do you handle the harder days? The struggles? Those moments when you feel like giving up?
Gratitude, gratitude, more gratitude… and prayer!
How has being a Boston Business Women Inner Circle member positively influenced your life + business?
I am very excited to connect with like-minded people and support each other in shining our lights.
Tell us about your most proud moment in your career.
Speaking to my kids’ elementary school with my three children in the audience, watching them see their mom pour into 600 kids.
Who is the woman behind your business? What does she like? How does she spend her free time? What does she value?
I love vacations, being near the water, wine and chocolate, girlfriend time, date nights, time with Jesus, and early mornings. I value kindness and raising good humans.
What makes you stand out from others in your field? What do you do differently?
I am relatable. Balancing four kids, a demanding schedule, writing books, and sharing my story honestly shows the real struggles and effort behind success.
