Tell us more about your company! What do you do and what pushed you to start?

‘A Simple Seed’ journal is a resource for both teachers and students to help them start the day strong, teaching important character values and the benefits of practicing gratitude and positive self-talk. These lessons are quick, daily check-ins and soul-inspiring self recipes that open the door for connecting conversations, thus cultivating the best version of themselves. Both students and teachers benefit from this quick, daily practice as it has been proven that positivity, gratitude and intention help improve cognitive function. Research throughout the past few decades has shown that the practice of gratitude alone enhances empathy and reduces aggression amongst students.

The TODAY show was interested in learning more and featured our journal this past November about the importance of gratitude! We hit #1 on Amazon for Children's books and I have gone on to speak to kids, teachers, companies, colleges, etc. sharing my story of my daughters life-saving surgery at BCH and running the 2018 Boston Marathon. MANY lessons learned in that stage of my life.

What is your definition of success? How do you know when you’ve reached it?

Making a difference in your community, leaving a footprint in this world, empowering my kids and others, making money doing what I love, fulfilling my purpose and feeling aligned in my career.

Tell us about your most transformational moment as an entrepreneur?

The TODAY show- the most magical 5 minutes of my life!

What was one of your biggest challenges in business?

Balancing 4 young kids, speaking, writing a book and being a FIRE wife- so hard to manage everything...

How do you handle the harder days? The struggles? Those moments when you feel like giving up?

Gratitude, gratitude, more gratitude...and prayer!

How has being a Boston Business Women Inner Circle member positively influenced your life + business?

What makes you stand out from others in your field? What do you do differently?
