How long have you been a Boston Business Women member?
2 years

Where are you based? How did you end up there?
East Walpole, MA. My husband and I bought our home here in 2018 when we became a blended family with our four children. Fun fact: my husband and I were first sweethearts back in the mid-1990s while I was studying at BU. We reconnected after 20 years and are now happily married!

Tell us more about your company! What do you do and what pushed you to start?
MAXevent is about bringing joy back to gathering and celebrating. The pandemic pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and start a business aligned with my passion for mentoring clients on event planning. As an event planning consultant, I guide clients through the process in a stress-free, approachable way—helping find vendors, stay on track, and make planning enjoyable rather than overwhelming.

What is your definition of success? How do you know when you’ve reached it?
Success is well-rounded and purposeful: freedom to travel, knowing my kids’ educations are secured, and living a life aligned with my values. I feel I will know I’ve reached it when these goals are realized.

Tell us about your most transformational moment as an entrepreneur?
My “aha!” moment came when I realized the path I was meant to take—creating a program that goes beyond logistics to uplift and empower women in planning their events. This filled me with purpose and determination, showing me the impact I could make.

What was one of your biggest challenges in business?
Lack of a team. Handling everything on my own can be tough, but I’ve learned to lean on my network, other business owners, and communities like Boston Business Women for support, advice, and inspiration.

How do you handle the harder days?
I remind myself that tough days are part of the journey. I listen to my mind and body, take time to reset, and keep in mind that tomorrow brings new opportunities. These experiences become learning moments that push me forward.

How has being a Boston Business Women Inner Circle member positively influenced your life + business?
BBW has provided valuable connections, upliftment, and motivation. Being surrounded by women confidently pursuing their ideas inspires me to grow and challenge myself without feeling competitive.

Tell us about your most proud moment in your career.
A vendor recently shared that she had heard of me and admired my reputation. It reminded me that staying true to my path, consistently striving to be my best, makes a positive impact and leaves a lasting legacy.

Who is the woman behind your business? What does she like? How does she spend her free time? What does she value?
I love travel, the beach, music, dancing, and socializing. I enjoy quiet nights at home with my husband, game nights, and reading (though time is short!). My biggest accomplishment is being a mom to two teen daughters. I value relationships, integrity, service, and making a positive impact.

What makes you stand out from others in your field? What do you do differently?
I support well-rounded women in midlife, helping them plan meaningful celebrations and impactful events. I craft engaging, thoughtful in-person experiences that leave lasting impressions. I specialize in:

  • Celebrating love and marriage (vow renewals, remarriage, milestone anniversaries)

  • Assisting ambitious women in business to create networking events and workshops that elevate their brand
