Boston, MA. I moved from Florida due to life and love!
Tell us more about your company! What do you do and what pushed you to start?
I’m a Montessori educator by trade and a product of arts and creativity. Star Path Montessori combines these two passions: Montessori education and creative expression.
I believe early education has the power to create positive change by nurturing the gifts of young children. My mission is to expand the perception of Montessori beyond traditional schools—Montessori is a way of life and should be accessible to all children and families.
Through Star Path, I offer a community space where children gain Montessori experiences through exploration and classes on weekends, holidays, and school vacations. Classes include yoga, cooking, art, creative movement, one-to-one tutoring, and playspace gatherings, all within an authentic Montessori environment.
I also offer consulting and coaching for caregivers, including online parent coaching, a self-guided Montessori start-up course, in-home Montessori design guidance, and consulting partnerships with schools and educators. Star Path is your one-stop Montessori connection—not a school, but everything in between.
What is your definition of success? How do you know when you’ve reached it?
Success, to me, is the feeling of freedom: doing everything I love, spending time with people I love, without limiting beliefs clouding my joy. That’s when I know I’ve reached success.
Tell us about your most transformational moment as an entrepreneur?
Seeing an idea come to life and blossom into a service that others value has been transformative. Taking something I love, sharing it with the world, and having it received openly is an incredible feeling.
What was one of your biggest challenges in business?
Maintaining a work-life balance between “have to dos” and “want to dos.” Luckily, I’ve reached a point where most of my “haves” align with my “wants,” making balance easier.
How do you handle the harder days?
Reflection is key. Thinking about how far I’ve come and what I’ve accomplished helps me push through challenges and continue to grow.
How has being a Boston Business Women Inner Circle member positively influenced your life + business?
Being part of BBW has given me the opportunity to share my journey and learn from others. The group is powerful, supportive, and full of inspiration and talent.
Tell us about your most proud moment in your career.
One of my proudest moments was earning a Master of Education in Montessori.
Who is the woman behind your business? What does she like? How does she spend her free time? What does she value?
Clarissa is a mom, artist, and dream catcher. She enjoys community involvement in Dedham, MA, singing, dancing, and relaxing in nature, especially in Vermont and New Hampshire. She loves snowy winters and enjoys adventures with her son.
What makes you stand out from others in your field? What do you do differently?
I advocate for children and their development by creating Montessori experiences accessible to many families, without expensive tuition. I guide families through challenging yet beautiful developmental stages, helping them liberate children’s abilities and create brighter learning paths.
