How long have you been a Boston Business Women member?

Less than a year

Where are you based? How did you end up there?

I grew up in the Boston area and after leaving for college I decided to come back. I'm a New Englander at heart 🙂

Tell us more about your company! What do you do and what pushed you to start?

There is a huge need for intuitive exercise. The fitness industry is a multi-billion dollar company that feeds off of shame (especially that of women) and the feeling that we are not enough. Barre3 is a group exercise class that focuses on the idea that we are already enough, and by taking time to be present and move our bodies we can become more connected to self and community.

How have you grown within your personal and professional life due to the success of your business?

After managing a team for 8 years I've learned how to be a leader -- how to lead by example for my team and for my friends and how to support and lift up other women. We grow by rising others up.

What is your definition of success? How do you know when you’ve reached it?

Balance in work and life and a sense of peace with myself. I don't think success is necessarily making the most amount of money as possible. Are you making an impact in real people's lives?

What was one of your biggest challenges in business?

Covid-19 was extremely hard on the fitness industry. I had to close one of my studios and it was super humbling. Knowing that sometimes there are outside factors and it doesn't always matter how hard you work...

How has being a Boston Business Women Inner Circle member positively influenced your life + business?

Just joined!

Tell us about your most proud moment in your career.

Opening my business at age 24!

What makes you stand out from others in your field? What do you do differently?

I know all of members by name and I have genuine relationships and interactions with them. We are always encouraging people to modify and to treat each day completely differently in how you feel and what you need.

Where can we keep up with you? What social media platforms do you use the most?

Probably Facebook!
