How long have you been a Boston Business Women member?

Less than a year

Where are you based? How did you end up there?

Boston, MA and Naples, FL. Boston is home and where I went to school and my biggest client-base. I recently fulfilled my dream of buying a home in Florida, so I've been setting up the condo I bought last year and have been coming back to Boston every few weeks! I'm also keeping my amazing boyfriend company since he runs a wonderful golf club in Naples and has to be on-site, while I work remotely with my clients based in Boston, my virtual assistant and interns! We have been traveling back and forth to get the best of both worlds!

Tell us more about your company! What do you do and what pushed you to start?

Nicole Chenard, winner of the 2022 Villanova University Feeding the Need, Problem Solver Award and the Massachusetts Emerging Dietetic Leader of the Year 2020 award from the Massachusetts Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist in Massachusetts and Florida. Nicole has worked with and helped hundreds of individuals, businesses and non-profits to improve their health, create and manage wellness programs, and gain the skills and tools they need to win their day. Her podcast, the Major League Nutrition Show, is one of her latest ventures to help people gain access to real health information wherever they are, whenever they can. It’s available anywhere you listen to podcasts including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and iHeartRadio.

What is your definition of success? How do you know when you’ve reached it?

Having enough time, and resources to be able to live freely and pass on wisdom to others. You know you've reached success when you stop complaining about not having enough, and you receive requests and feedback that get you really excited to create more, help more people and get another new perspective!

Tell us about your most transformational moment as an entrepreneur?

This is tough because I'm constantly transforming! Most recently, it was pulling the trigger and hiring an assistant. Having her perspective and feedback and seeing her excitement in regards to our work makes me spark up with joy in a way I've never experienced in the 8 years I've been growing my business (4 years since I launched my LLC)!

What was one of your biggest challenges in business?

Finding an assistant and learning to delegate. Not having startup money to purchase what I needed/hire who I needed to make my business more functional/effective. I've been putting all my profits back into the business and chugging along slowly but surely!

How do you handle the harder days? The struggles? Those moments when you feel like giving up?

I've become incredibly resourceful and grateful for those who have been there for me when I've felt like it's been too tough to keep going or when I've lost focus of the greater picture and the positive impact I make on so many people who really need my services and thrive because of them. I've learned that doing the hard stuff it was ends up providing the most payoff. I've learned that I have an amazing inner compass and I should listen to myself more often! I've learned that when I feel I struggle, people tend to see the opposite and I should look at myself from their lenses more often too!

How has being a Boston Business Women Inner Circle member positively influenced your life + business?

It makes the pressures of entrepreneur life less lonely and more invigorating!

Tell us about your most proud moment in your career.

When my undergraduate college advisor/professor requested that I come in to talk to her class because she heard I was successful. She had told me I was going nowhere when she was my advisor/professor. What a change of perspective she had! There's another one that is happening at this very moment, that I can't wait to share soon!

Who is the woman behind your business? What does she like? How does she spend her free time? What does she value?

A thinker, an initiator, a change-maker, a problem-solver, an athlete, an aunt, a girlfriend, a friend, a sister, a daughter, a cousin. She reads a lot, fights for justice, surrounds herself with positive, active people who lift her up, and she does the same for them! Her persistence and dedication to what she believes in are unmatchable. Malcolm Gladwell would consider her to be a connecter.

What makes you stand out from others in your field? What do you do differently?

I could work with anyone, but I gravitate toward working with those who have the most complex health & wellness problems. My main clients have been veterans who are active or retired and breast cancer patients post-treatment. My approach includes working together with my clients as a team, giving them the tools they need for healthy eating, physical activity and sleep, helping them recognize the barriers that get in the way of their success, pointing out what could help them better reach their goals, using technology and motivational interviewing to help them get there, and shocking them with my insight and little tips that are game changers - to help them win their day so that they can have the freedom to choose how they want to perform & live better!

Where can we keep up with you? What social media platforms do you use the most?

Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter.
