Where are you based? How did you end up there?
Salem, MA. I first moved to Salem from Seattle in 2009 when I was going to school in Boston for my Graduate Degree.
Tell us more about your company! What do you do and what pushed you to start?
In 2018 my husband and I sold our house and everything we owned to buy a sailboat. We traveled for two years through Central America and homeschooled our two kids. Before sailing, I owned a small healing space for massage, sound healing, reiki, tarot, etc. Astrology and Life Coaching became my main source of income as we sailed. (I was using zoom way before it was cool.) We came back to Salem during the pandemic and I have a lovely healing space once again.
What is your definition of success? How do you know when you’ve reached it?
Success is having absolutely no regrets. I don't think success has anything to do with your finances. Success is being truly happy where ever you are.
Tell us about your most transformational moment as an entrepreneur?
My whole life is transformational. I've always been completely comfortable with change, and I love to help others feel the same.
What was one of your biggest challenges in business?
I lost quite a few clients back when I switched my healing business from hands-on to online- Mostly because finding good WIFI in small Central American countries proved difficult. As much as I miss traveling, I do love how accessible everything is here in the US.
How do you handle the harder days? The struggles? Those moments when you feel like giving up?
I have such a unique perspective with questions like these. We have encountered rough seas, hurricane force winds, lightning squalls.... all terrifying things in the middle of the ocean with small kids. I was terrified and I second-guessed my life decisions on hard days like those. The more you do the hard things, the easier they become. You make it through, you become stronger, and what used to scare you no longer does.
How has being a Boston Business Women Inner Circle member positively influenced your life + business?
This is such a great group. I have met so many new clients who have become friends.
Tell us about your most proud moment in your career.
I think it was when I finally published my first book. It was years of work and finally holding it in my hand was truly amazing. It's called ``Ghost Stories & Hippie Sh*t`` and it's full of my heart and soul.
Who is the woman behind your business? What does she like? How does she spend her free time? What does she value?
I'm a wife of 20 years and a mom to two amazing kids. I love anything outdoors in nature. I love to sail, travel, and take beautiful photos.
What makes you stand out from others in your field? What do you do differently?
I have a Masters Degree in Education, I'm a Certified Transformation Life Coach, I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Reiki Master Teacher, a Tuning Fork Therapist with a BFA in Sound Design, and I've been an Astrologer and Tarot Reader for over a decade. I mix all of these things in my cauldron with my unique life experiences to create my magick. I'm a personal navigator and I love to help people discover where they're going.
