How long have you been a Boston Business Women member?

Less than a year

Where are you based? How did you end up there?

Based in Lowell, MA. Moved from FL to Boston at 21 to pursue photography. Lived in Boston until 25 when my career was starting to take off in the startup community until I found out I was expecting my first child. Had my daughter and moved to Lowell to be closer to partners family. Have been slowly building my career back while raising two kids and just finished a 2.5 year sole breastfeeding journey due to eating delay and now at 33 back on track to building my career as a photographer and business strategist!

Tell us more about your company! What do you do and what pushed you to start?

I own a wedding photography business with my partner! I shifted to weddings when I found out I was expecting my first child and at the time I was heavily involved in startups primarily focused on events offering photography and content curation services. When I became pregnant I was no longer desirable and seen as a liability. Startups move so quickly that they can often implode within 4 years and by the time I had my daughter and was able to get my feet wet again the players had changed and the industry moved on. I knew I would want another child and I did not want to go back into an industry I would be pushed out of. I had shot some weddings prior and not only is pregnancy accepted but celebrated in this industry. So along with my partner (who is a commercial photographer) I built Seamless Photography!

What is your definition of success? How do you know when you’ve reached it?

For me success is not a destination to reach but milestones achieved. I do not think I will ever stop reaching, stop achieving. I am a success for raising two amazing toddlers. I am a success for building a thriving business. I am a success for rolling with the punches and forging a new path.

Tell us about your most transformational moment as an entrepreneur?

I feel like I've had so many but recently it has been reaching a new stage in my business where my green marketing efforts have paid off and I am no longer seeking leads and they are now finding me! Not only that but we went through 2 price changes this year alone and are finally charging our worth!

What was one of your biggest challenges in business?

For me personally, Time. However, both of my kids are finally in school so for the first time in 6 years I have more time then I've ever had and I plan to use it to the fullest.

How do you handle the harder days? The struggles? Those moments when you feel like giving up?

There is no giving up, just a new direction. I allow myself to have that day. A day to be sad, a day to do nothing, a day to feel and then I wake up, make a coffee, and start again.

How has being a Boston Business Women Inner Circle member positively influenced your life + business?

We shall see!

Tell us about your most proud moment in your career.

Probably this past month I closed 20K in sales in one week. That was a pretty exciting moment.

Who is the woman behind your business? What does she like? How does she spend her free time? What does she value?

I spend it with my family, traveling and making their childhood as magical as mine was.

What makes you stand out from others in your field? What do you do differently?

My ideas are boundless and I thrive under pressure. I do not view myself as a ``creative`` or ``photographer`` but a business owner and the ability to see the big picture and potential to scale beyond the craft.

Where can we keep up with you? What social media platforms do you use the most?
