Getting REAL About What Authenticity Means

Today I’m getting real. REALLY REAL!

Because I’m sharing something that has changed the last few years of my life. And at its simplest description, it’s a quote. ๐Ÿ™‚ Do you want to hear the quote that upgraded my perspective? The sentence that transformed the way I view personal authenticity and showing up raw, sometimes even letting my vulnerability show?

After clicking with this truth, from that moment forward, I decided to show up in this world unfiltered, unhinged, and free exactly as I am! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ˜œ

I heard from Don Miguel Ruiz “Death is not the biggest fear of humans. The biggest fear we have is taking the risk to be ourselves.” ๐Ÿคฏ

Throughout life, especially as women, we have confined ourselves within boxes created by the limited perspectives of those around us..

โŒ We have molded ourselves to fit society’s expectations

โŒ We have kept quiet in order to not offend.

โŒ We have burnt ourselves out striving for someone else’s definition of perfect

And if you ask me, it’s bull ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ˜‰

There is nothing more detrimental to ourselves and the world, than diluting who we are to appease others. Not just personally negative, but the world needs the light we were meant to be. The gifts, experiences, and life you’ve lived have a purpose, and dimming that light hurts you AND the world around us.ย

This is your sign. Permission to show up EXACTLY as you are. ๐ŸŒŸ So, why don’t you do the world a favor and…

๐Ÿ’— Share with your heart.

๐Ÿ’— Love all parts of your body.

๐Ÿ’— Speak for what you believe in.

๐Ÿ’— Embrace the true freedom of being wildly authentic.

๐Ÿ’— Lean in to the light you know is inside

Living your life aligned with authenticity is the best way to bring peace, joy, and self-love to your world. And when you’re at peace, and focused on being your best, you shine for others as an example to do the same.

I’ll leave you with another quote, by someone we all know as an envelope pusher.

Steve Jobs, “Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow know what you truly want to become.”

What gut feeling has been on your mind lately? Challenge yourself to take a step toward it.

Cheers to your success!ย
