Yes, I was born and raised in Jamaica Plain. I now live in Cohasset on the South Shore.
Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?
I started working with Boston’s fitness community in 2011. My first photoshoot was with rising Pilates instructor Jenn Phelan for an environmental portrait project. She loved the photos and used them to promote her classes. That shoot launched my career!
Since then, I’ve worked with fitness instructors, personal trainers, activewear brands, beverage companies, health coaches, gyms, studios, and business owners of all kinds. I love my niche and the amazing clients I’ve met along the way. The photography business has evolved, but my passion remains strong.
What would your clients say about you and your company?
“When clients show up for a photoshoot, they are often nervous at first. I create a calm, relaxed environment, which they really appreciate. I’m not just taking photos; I help build confidence too.”
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
N/A
What is your favorite book?
The Searcher by Tana French
What is your secret weapon?
I break big tasks into small, manageable pieces. For example, clean one section of a room at a time or focus on the next day’s tasks. Lists and bite-sized steps reduce overwhelm and increase focus.
What is your most recent WIN? How are you slaying it in your career or business?
This past year, I’ve invested in my business: a new logo, networking groups like BBW, and a business coach. I’ve also focused on finding my people, which has made a huge difference.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Be patient and get organized. Things take time, but small, consistent actions move the needle.
How do you enjoy your free time?
Beach days with my kids, lunch dates with friends, and yard work with my husband.
What is something that not many people know about you?
Although I’m generally upbeat, my favorite songs are heart-wrenching breakup songs—they move me the most.
