What is your name?

Rachel Kaczynski.

What is your occupation?

I am a Certified Holistic Health Coach and Creator of the Spark Your Bliss Affirmation Card Deck, Journal & Prints for kids.

What is your business name?

How long have you been a Boston Business Women’s Member?

Less than 1 year.

What is your instagram handle?

What is your linked in URL?

Were you born and raised in Boston? If not, what brought you here?

I was born and raised in CT and moved to Boston after college. I moved there with my best friend because I always loved the city's charm and was looking for a change...and I ended up staying there for 10 years (and meeting my husband). Recently, I moved back to CT with my husband and kids to be closer to family with our own growing family. Back to my roots!

Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?

I became a Certified Health Coach back in 2010. After years of deprivation and yo-yo dieting in my teens and early 20s, I wanted to shift the narrative and help women focus on nourishing their bodies and ADDING in vs. taking away (the opposite of what we're told in the media). I was passionate about helping women ditch the dieting while discovering joy around food (since that's what I struggled with for so many years).

However, as I started to take on clients 1:1, I quickly discovered food and exercise wasn't the real problem for most women; rather it all starts with mindset. You can eat all the green smoothies your heart desires, but if you're not practicing mindfulness and self-care, you're not going to FEEL good. I'm a firm believer that health starts with how you fuel your MIND, and I'm such an advocate for prioritizing your wellness and mental health.

After leaving my corporate job on the verge of burnout, I needed to take my own advice and go back to taking care of ME. I spent an entire summer creating my very first product: the Spark Your Bliss affirmation card deck - offering up a practical tool for the everyday woman to shift their mindset, take intentional action and reflect. That's why each card not only has a positive affirmation, but also supporting action steps and journaling prompts.

Since then, I've launched a journal, affirmation prints for kids and I also host seasonal women's ''Bliss Circles'' for women to connect, grow and manifest together. Women celebrating women is pretty powerful, and having a community of women who you can lean on in this crazy, beautiful journey that is life is crucial.

What would your clients say about you and your company?

The women I work with often say that I'm authentic, caring, passionate and inspirational! I love being a cheerleader for other women, helping them see something beautiful and amazing in themselves. I have a ''YES, YOU CAN DO IT!'' attitude and love helping other women thrive.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

Set clear boundaries; it's OK and healthy to say no especially if it means saying yes to yourself.

What is your favorite book?

I love all of Danielle Laporte's books, which I want to go back and read. Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert is up there too.

What is your secret weapon? An app, a tool, a organization method, anything?! (Can be a personal or professional life tool)

A journal, a cup of coffee and my Spark Your Bliss affirmation card deck :).

What is your most recent WIN? How are you slaying it in your career or business?

I launched two new products this past year - my Spark Your Bliss journal and my affirmation wall prints for kids (inspired by my 3-year-old daughter). I'm proud that I've been able to grow my small business while also growing my family. You don't have to choose one or the other. Another proud moment - my Spark Your Bliss affirmation card deck has been featured in Inc and Health magazine!

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Be yourself. Do it your way. You are enough just as you are.

How do you enjoy your free time?

Lounging on the couch with some feel-good TV, spending time in nature, and adventures with the family. I love seeing my kids experience the joy & magic of the simple things like driving around looking at holiday lights or grabbing a treat at the local bakery! The little things truly are the big things.

What is something that not many people know about you?

I helped launched sweetgreen in Boston as their Community Marketing Manager, and named the Harvest Bowl. I'm a sweetgreen fan for life, and can't wait for them to open up more in CT!
