BBW MEMBER INTERVIEW: Jenny Belanger, CEO and Web Designer

What is your name?

Jenny Belanger.

What is your occupation?

I am a CEO and Web Designer.

What is your business name?

How long have you been a Boston Business Women’s Member?

Less than 1 year.

What is your instagram handle?

What is your linked in URL?

Were you born and raised in Boston? If not, what brought you here?

North of Boston, in Boxford, MA.

Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?

I'm a self-taught web designer (originally in the nonprofit marketing world) and always designed on the side. I decided I was truly passionate about design and wanted more flexibility so I focused my efforts on my web design studio full time about 2 years ago. I also learned I truly enjoy helping other women entrepreneurs like myself.

What would your clients say about you and your company?

They would say I'm a true partner — organized, supportive, and an entrepreneur's biggest cheerleader, ready to help make their online presence shine!

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

Stop and breathe and notice what's true. Ever since starting my entrepreneurial journey, I've found that self-care is a non-negotiable. I've participated in a few different programs with some amazing women and are constantly learning. But I think the most powerful advice I ever received was, to stop and notice what is true.

What is your favorite book?

Ohhh...And then there were none. I actually haven't read it in a few years, but it has been my all time favorite book since I was a teenager. I'm not actually sure how many times I've read it.

What is your secret weapon? An app, a tool, a organization method, anything?! (Can be a personal or professional life tool)

My planner. I have a hybrid system, Google calendar and a written bullet journal (this is a new development but I'm loving it so far) and together they keep me organized, focused and on track. I would be lost without them!

What is your most recent WIN? How are you slaying it in your career or business?

I recently added to my team and am so excited to start this new year off with the help of other supportive women!

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Just keep going. And always remember to ask ''what's true''.

How do you enjoy your free time?

With my 2 kiddos (5+6 years old), I work ''mother's hours'' so I can be with them every afternoon. 🙂 Oh and ride my Peloton.

What is something that not many people know about you?

I'm 50% Arabic and couldn't survive without middle eastern food!
