Were you born and raised in Boston? If not, what brought you here?

Born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan. My family migrated to the US in 2001 in search of a better life. I moved to Massachusetts in 2007 and since then, I would never make a decision of leaving this beautiful state. I finished my Engineering here, landed a job in my field, elevated in my career, found my husband, gave birth to my beautiful daughter and started my businesses in MA.

Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?

During the pandemic and remote working life, I really focused on my mental health and started doing things that brought me joy. Thanks to the pandemic, I decided to establish my LLC and started working on building an event design portfolio. I served clients throughout Massachusetts and helped create amazing memories for them on their special days. Because of my leap of faith, I prospered in this venture and opened up my creative space studio in Attleboro, MA.

What would your clients say about you and your company?

Bisma K Events has amazing reviews from clients. One thing we always hear from our clients is that ~Bisma gets more excited about our events than ourselves~. This is true because I already envision the moment coming to life.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

The greatest gift you will ever give to your children is your own emotional well being.

What is your favorite book?

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.

What is your secret weapon? An app, a tool, a organization method, anything?! (Can be a personal or professional life tool)

My secret weapon in life is time management. If you can learn the art of managing your time and prioritize, anything is possible.

What is your most recent WIN? How are you slaying it in your career or business?

My recent win is bringing a space to life as I envisioned it and booking it to clients event before its grand opening in January. I am also a mentee of David Tutera, learning the art of elite event design. I cannot wait to see him and work with him in person in 2022 and bring this knowledge to Boston so I can serve the best with the best.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Read better books, learn as much as you can about finances. Invest time learning a new skill and do what makes you happy.

How do you enjoy your free time?

I like to reflect, spend time on self care. My mental health and physical well being is very important to serve my job, my clients, my family and most of all my daughter.

What is something that not many people know about you?

I am currently in the process of writing a book on how I manage time and plan on becoming a business coach in a couple of years.
