BBW MEMBER INTERVIEW: Kali Patrick, Sleep Wellness Coach, A Journey into Health

What is your name?

Kali Patrick

What is your occupation?

Sleep Wellness Coach

What is your business name?

How long have you been a Boston Business Women’s Member?

1 year

What is your instagram handle?

What is your linked in URL?

Were you born and raised in Boston? If not, what brought you here?

No. I attended Bentley University for my masters degree and loved Boston so much that I settled here.

Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?

The first phase of my career was in hi-tech, where I experienced “burnout” before it was a clinical diagnosis. I began to study yoga more seriously, and attended trainings to help myself overcome the specific health challenges I was experiencing (e.g. insomnia, binge eating etc.). When I returned to my career, I couldn’t help but see my colleagues in a new light, and I believed I could help them take better care of themselves—before they ended up where I did.

What would your clients say about you and your company?

I am a supportive partner on their journey toward sleeping better and living a more engaged life. Through my sleep wellness coaching program my clients learn skills they can use in all areas of their life and for the rest of their life. More here: https://kalisleepcoach.com/client-testimonials

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

A lot of pressure is self-imposed. Remove that and life can be so much easier!

What is your favorite book?

The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery

What is your secret weapon? An app, a tool, a organization method, anything?! (Can be a personal or professional life tool)

Sleeping well, every night! Honestly there’s nothing that can help you more, especially if you have a lot going on. It helps you achieve your goals whether they’re health related (e.g. lose weight), professional (e.g. make solid decisions), or personal (e.g. be patient with your kids). Sleep sets you up to thrive (vs just survive)!

What is your most recent WIN? How are you slaying it in your career or business?

I’m doing a record number of corporate webinars this month!

What advice would you give to your younger self?

You are safe; you can relax and enjoy your life.

How do you enjoy your free time?

Reading and writing; yoga, walking, and Barre; tending to our 1920s home which has a large garden and many fruit trees(!); hockey (when in season); I also enjoy eating out and international travel. Next up is Thailand or Australia.

What is something that not many people know about you?

I was a competitive west coast swing dancer.
