What is your name?
Dori Brewster
What is your occupation?
Realtor
What is your business name?
How long have you been a Boston Business Women’s Member?
Less than a year

@Dori_therealtor
What is your linked in URL?
Were you born and raised in Boston? If not, what brought you here?
Yes.
Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?
I've been in real estate for a little over a year now. I grew up in a low income housing complex in Somerville with so many hard working families who wanted to better their lives. No one ever came to educate the residents on how they could become homeowners. I wanted to give back and help members of my community achieve the dream of homeownership.
What would your clients say about you and your company?
I chose Kadilak Realty Group as my brokerage because I loved the work they do with the construction business and the care they put into making sure their agents are prepared, educated and successful. In being with the company for over a year, I've both heard and received nothing but praise from both clients and peers.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
My broker Susan Kadilak says Real estate is like being a gardener. You plant the seeds and care for the garden if you'd like your career to grow. I use that advice to work from a place of giving rather than receiving. I feel if I focus on offering value to clients and peers alike, that would be my best path to success in both business and life.
What is currently your favorite book?
Mindfulness: A Practical Guide To Awakening
What is your secret weapon? An app, a tool, a organization method, anything?! (Can be a personal or professional life tool)
Weekly accountability meetings with my team.
What is your most recent WIN? How are you slaying it in your career or business?
An old friend from high school let me come to give her a CMA to tell her the value of her property. She then referred me to her business partner who referred me to her mother before we even got a chance to meet. Being of service is a career boost in itself.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Keep pushing yourself, it's going to pay off.
How do you enjoy your free time?
I'm consistently curious so I'm always researching SOMETHING.
What is something that not many people know about you?
I'm quite artsy and can draw, paint, sculpt and write poetry.
