Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?

I believe our homes are sacred places that can be leveraged to support us in all of life’s endeavors — both inside and outside the home. By using color, organization and furnishings strategically, I prompt my clients to come to life through their homes. My ultimate goal is to establish order in my client’s homes so that they can focus on what matters most — connection and memory making. By incorporating organizational systems I am also able to promote independence among those who reside within the home, thus promoting a sense of ease — allowing my clients to feel less stress and live more harmonious lives. I do not believe it is necessary to source bespoke furnishings in order to accomplish this. I can often be found perusing FB marketplace and scheming about breathing new life into heirloom and vintage finds. This not only preserves my client’s budgets, but creates more depth in the interior spaces I design. At the end of the day I strive to empower my clients to act as their own designers by teaching them the skills I use as we move through the design process. Hello Pearl Interiors was born from the beautiful memories I have of my Granny and the love she infused into her home and it’s belongings. Her nurturing spirit extended to all aspects of her life — be it the way her laughter reverberated through a room, the way her love and enthusiasm poured out upon seeing me — her Pearl girl — or any of her grandchildren, or the way she tended to her home and heirloom pieces, she modeled how to live with legacy in mind. Her memory is my muse.

What would your clients say about you and your company?

It is my hope that my clients would say that I offer a fresh perspective on interior design and that, through that, I am making beautiful designs accessible to everyone. My clients have said that it inspires them to watch me work and that I style shelves with grace. That was certainly a fun compliment to receive.

What is your favorite book?

Educated by Tara Westover

What is your secret weapon? An app, a tool, a organization method, anything?! (Can be a personal or professional life tool)

Google Calendar or Calendly because it syncs to my google calendar.

What is your most recent WIN? How are you slaying it in your career or business?

My most recent win was securing a substantial project for my neighbors who live across the street. This is the first time they have ever hired an interior designer! They watched me renovate our house and decided they trust me to renovate theirs as well. I guess it’s a win-win — it’s a short commute for me and in the event this all goes awry, they know where to find me 🤣

What advice would you give to your younger self?

To trust your intuition.

How do you enjoy your free time?

With my family or in the bathtub.

What is something that not many people know about you?

I once lived in a tiny house — 260 square feet, with my 2 young kids. It’s now in our back yard!
