Public speaking, Career & Life Coach

What is your business name?

How long have you been a Boston Business Women’s Member?

Less than a year

What is your instagram handle?

Were you born and raised in Boston? If not, what brought you here?

I've lived in Boston for about 13 years. I originally moved here from LA for school.

Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?

My background is in marketing and corporate communications (10+ years). I am also a certified yoga instructor (YTT 200). I founded my company, Public Speaking Methods, to help women gain the confidence to speak up in all areas of their life. Our voice is a powerful tool, and often times we quiet ourselves down because we are afraid to speaking honestly and with intuition. I work with clients on traditional public speaking events (e.g. presentations for work and meetings), but I also work with clients on speaking their truth to unlock their path in their careers, businesses, relationships, and more.

What would your clients say about you and your company?

Examples of two recent client testimonials: ``Miranda is the embodiment of what she coaches - confidence, self-assurance and focus. When I first started working with her as my coach, I was allowing my energy to be pulled in many different directions with my new coaching business. In our first session, Miranda helped me achieve the focus and clarity I needed to hone in on my goals. She then pushed me to get outside of my comfort zone and stop playing small to get the results I wanted. Within two months of working with her, I had my first 5-figure month. I highly recommend working with Miranda if you want to combat imposter syndrome and overcome fear of using your voice so you can finally show up fully for yourself.`` |||| ``Miranda has been a silver lining in a lackluster year. Although I had initially signed her up to help me with public speaking, I uncovered a lot more that we were able to work on together. Her style is tailored and she's personable, approachable, and empowering. I felt like I found someone who truly cared, which meant a lot in a coach.``

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

Heal yourself so you can help heal others.

What is currently your favorite book?

Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

What is your secret weapon? An app, a tool, a organization method, anything?! (Can be a personal or professional life tool)

My Public Speaking Methods approach, which includes what I call ``Stack Your Wins,`` and ``S.E.P.A.R.A.T.I.O.N.`` Both of these tools have helped my clients (and me!) grow and bridge the gap in our lives to achieve impossible goals.

What is your most recent WIN? How are you slaying it in your career or business?

My clients are listening to their intuition, speaking up, overcoming imposter syndrome, and making money in their own businesses.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Follow your gut ALWAYS.

How do you enjoy your free time?

Hosting virtual book clubs, yoga, cooking, and wine tasting 🙂

What is something that not many people know about you?

I was a traveling yoga instructor after receiving my certification in Nicaragua. To my surprise, my first yoga client was Minnie Driver. Needless to say, I freaked out.
