Were you born and raised in Boston? If not, what brought you here?

I was born in Exeter, NH and grew up visiting this city for various occasions. I actually taught middle school in the Boston area and earned my Master's Degree in Education from Boston University as well before founding my company.

Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?

I recently founded Revel, a women-owned and operated company that specializes in offering luxury social concierge services to corporate clients, out of town guests, and celebratory groups. As someone who grew up visiting the city, I understand what it's like to want to feel taken care of, to feel connected to the new place that you're in, and to feel like you're reveling in a unique experience. Revel aims to do that. My background in Education actually lends itself to this new role in luxury services: I'm organized, resourceful, creative, know how to entertain a group (I taught 7th grade which was an adventure every day), and connect individuals with each other and the environment they're in. I am so excited to share my company, which is an extension of myself and who I am, with others.

What would your clients say about you and your company?

Clients would say that Revel fills a niche that no other company does: we plan multi-venue itineraries for them and their own clients, execute those itineraries with as many VIP perks and as much insider access as possible, and then we go along with the groups to ensure that even the social dynamic is what clients prefer. What better way to build business relationships than in a convivial group environment around the city? Whether it's live music, upscale dinners, private cruises around the harbor, we offer unique experiences for your clients. Since Revel staff also collectively speak 7 different languages, we can even connect with clients who might otherwise feel less appreciated and supported.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

``Bekah. You have too many tabs open. Stop and focus on just one thing. Close the tab. No new browser, no new window, focus on what's in front of you.`` - Mia, my Executive Director, daily.

What is your favorite book?

East of Eden by John Steinbeck

What is your secret weapon? An app, a tool, a organization method, anything?! (Can be a personal or professional life tool)

My secret weapon is my own personality! I didn't realize this until starting my company, but I personally excel in connecting people, anticipating their needs before they realize them, and making them feel like I am personally attentive to them. It's perfect for Revel, and I had it unknowingly all along.

What is your most recent WIN? How are you slaying in your career or business?

Every week is a new win! I actually recently partnered with 3 different hotels in the Boston area, so their concierge directly recommend Revel to guests. I love that!

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Start getting Botox sooner.<br /> Just kidding. Your face reflects what you feel, and what you are going to feel. Sometimes your expressions should be a window, and not a mirror.

How do you enjoy your free time?

I don't have that much free time these days, but when I do I love attending events (I'm taking my Dad to Riverdance next month haha), trying new foods, traveling, reading, and enjoying the sun.

What is something that not many people know about you?

My company provides luxury services... but I actually am a farm girl! My family owns a goat farm in Lee, NH and makes artisan foods and products (they're very yummy). I used to take my students to the farm every year for field trips.
