Were you born and raised in Boston? If not, what brought you here?
Nope! I lived here for 8 years (grad school + my first job), but left 7 years ago. My husband and I knew we always wanted to come back – in fact, our apartment in San Francisco had art/momentos of Boston in every single room. We have been planning a move back for the last 3 years and the timing was finally right!
Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?
Parsnip is a partnership platform for better-for-you brands. We help brands connect with other brands, influencers, events, and agencies in order to support their business growth through partnerships. I'm passionate about helping business owners succeed in the better-for-you space, and started Parsnip with that motivation. Before that, I had become an entrepreneur by starting a snack company after a nearly decade-long career in consulting and finance.
What would your clients say about you and your company?
Parsnip knows the best brands and can help curate the best partnerships! Helping founders get clear on how to grow their businesses is one of Sally's strengths.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Bias towards action - every single day.
What is your favorite book?
Ahhh this is hard! It changes regularly. Right now, I am fond of The Stone Diaries by Carol Shields.
What is your secret weapon? An app, a tool, a organization method, anything?! (Can be a personal or professional life tool)
I've found that eating a mostly plant-based diet and working out daily makes me the best version of myself!
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Always be yourself – unabashedly, confidently, excitedly yourself.
How do you enjoy your free time?
I love taking super long walks, exploring local history, traveling with friends.
What is something that not many people know about you?
I may be one of the last people watching this – but Survivor is my favorite TV show!
