Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?
I became a dog trainer because of my wonderful, high-energy yellow Lab, Milo. When Milo came into my life, I realized that, even though I had dogs all my life, I had never actually trained one. I enrolled us in six weeks of basic training, but soon realized that this only scratched the surface.
The training center was looking for interns, so I interviewed and was blessed to be accepted. After interning for a few years, I knew I loved dog training and wanted to turn my passion into my career. Thirteen years ago, I took in a stray dog because I wanted to give her the best life I could — but it was Milo who completely changed me and gave me the best life.
