How long have you been a Boston Business Women’s Member?

Less than 1 year

Were you born and raised in Boston? If not, what brought you here?

Yes born and raised!

Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?

Life and stress is one main factor that led me to opening my business. I was a single mom for many years sometimes working as many as 3 jobs at a time. I got to the point where I decided I needed a college education and started school. I went small and enrolled in a local community college and received an AS in Business and then transferred to a 4 year institution and received a BA in Psychology. Through this time the struggle was real and so was the stress. I needed a vacation but working so many hours while squeezing in school and kids made it impossible. When it was all said and done I said to myself I need an escape that can bring me to a zen point without actually leaving town. That is how the idea was created. inBody relaxation and recovery spa is a place where anyone can just go and get away for an hour or two and get grounded again in the midst of the many directions life brings us.

What would your clients say about you and your company?

Our clients would say I care. From the second they walk through the door till they walk out I make sure their needs are taken care of. Whether it is tea, an extra towel, or even a conversation about their week, I will take the time to make sure they are happy.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

Fears we don't face become our limits.

What is your favorite book?

The Secret

What is your secret weapon? An app, a tool, a organization method, anything?! (Can be a personal or professional life tool)

My secret weapon is to have faith and create the power of visualization and belief. When you open your mind and truly put forth the vision in life, no matter what the vision, it will happen as long as you put the time and work into it. You absolutely can't doubt yourself in life or that negativity will consume you and have a chain reaction that is hard to stop.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Breath and pace yourself. You need the oxygen to survive, slow and steady with your run and slow and steady with your breathing will definitely get you the win to the race.

How do you enjoy your free time?

I don't have much free time running two business' haha but I'm hoping all the hard work will allot me some free time in the future to do many of the hobbies I've thought of over the years. The goal is to travel in my free time!

What is something that not many people know about you?

I've always wanted to be a dancer and have never taken a class in my life! I think I will add that to my hobbies to do list!
