Aimee Rohrer, Former RN, Current crystal seller and lover of all things that sparkle.

What is your instagram handle?

@Rockaddictco

How long have you been a Boston Business Women’s Member?

Less than 1 year

Were you born and raised in Boston? If not, what brought you here?

Nursing school, Northeastern University

Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?

Rock Addict is my new business. I have always loved the beauty and healing energy of crystals. Just like nursing, it's another kind of healing, although more spiritual than physical perhaps. Rockaddictco.com is my current site.

What would your clients say about you and your company?

My customers are the most positive and kind out there. They always take the time to write me about their purchases and how they use or display them. It's really a wonderful feeling to know that people love what they have received. Makes a work day never feel like work!

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

To do what you love. And do it to the best of your ability.

What is your favorite book?

Jonathan Safran Foer- Eating Animals`` It made me more aware of how my choices effected the environment, animals, and my health.

What is your secret weapon? An app, a tool, a organization method, anything?! (Can be a personal or professional life tool)

My family is my secret weapon. Both my husband and kids are so supportive of my choices, and never let me forget that they love me even when I may have moments of failure. They also celebrate the hardest when I have success. It makes it easier to try new things knowing that.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Do what you love to do, not what others expect you to do. Be true to yourself always.

How do you enjoy your free time?

I love making jewelry and walking my dogs. Also, I absolutely love to travel and experience other cultures. Best way to grow and expand your thinking.

What is something that not many people know about you?

I love being a mom more than anything in the world. And that includes my furry children as much as my birth children!
