How long have you been a Boston Business Women’s Member?

Less than 1 year

Were you born and raised in Boston? If not, what brought you here?

Yes, I was born in Boston but also spent time living in Singapore and Germany at different points. Now I'm currently living in Somerville.

Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?

I grew up in Singapore and would volunteer with my family at the Missionaries of Charity helping the destitute and dying. This formative experience led me to pursue a career in international non-profit work, where I ended up working at Partners In Health during an emergency response with very high levels of stress. During these testing times, I sought out a coach and learned about positive psychology. I completely fell in love and began coaching our staff using positive psychology. Eventually I realized this was a true calling for me when I recalled a memory of my childhood volunteer experience when I bought smiley face slippers for one of the elderly women for Christmas. The gift momentarily took away her suffering and allowed her to experience more levity and joy. I realized that there are levels of stress, unhappiness, and unrealized potential everywhere and that this can be changed. I began to see that my passion was for coaching individuals through a positively framed approach. This is when I decided to take the leap and begin my coaching practice as a Happiness Coach grounded in Positive Psychology. I work with individuals across the Boston area who are seeking more meaning, balance, purpose and fulfillment in their lives.

What would your clients say about you and your company?
