Were you born and raised in Boston? If not, what brought you here?
I was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee! What brought me to Boston was a wedding at Fenway for some of my friends from college. I never left once I got to Boston!
Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?
I was led to my career in an amusing way. I actually thought that spirituality was a load of you know what haha. However, I owed a friend a favor and agreed to go to a meditation class with him. The rest is history!
What would your clients say about you and your company?
Well they say a lot of things haha. Here's an example from another woman in the BBW group: ``I've grown more in 1 month working with Alex and these healing tools than I did in 61/2 years working with my therapist!`` I'm very grateful for all of my clients.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Say ``yes`` and figure out the how later. I've jumped on so many opportunities I initially didn't know how to do which has always worked out for me in amazing ways!
What is your favorite book?
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho who actually was a student of the same healing work I facilitate!
What is your secret weapon? An app, a tool, a organization method, anything?! (Can be a personal or professional life tool)
My not so secret weapon is meditation. Meditation is the ability to come back home to myself every.single.day.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
I'd let her know she doesn't have to worry so much and that everything is going to be okay.
How do you enjoy your free time?
I don't have a dog (yet!) but I borrow everyone else's during my free time. I am an Auntie to many dogs around Boston!
What is something that not many people know about you?
I was a Fitness America Bikini Competitor for 3 years in a row. This seems crazy to me now!
