Third generation Bostonian!
Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?
I have spent my entire career in nonprofit management or consulting- I originally established Pear Associates in 1999 and operated my firm until 2008 when I returned to full time employment in nonprofit and healthcare consulting. When I realized there was a great demand for the services Pear Associates offered, I decided to relaunch my firm in 2018
What would your clients say about you and your company?
Here are some testimonials: ``Alison is motivated, organized, thoughtful and fun. She worked primarily as a grant writer for our nonprofit, and has also participated in strategic planning and helped to create and run our first-ever capital campaign. She approached our work together with creativity, ownership of her part of the bargain, and professionalism. She does a great job of balancing the demands of multiple clients. I recommend her work very highly!``<br /> ``Alison is a very good, efficient grant writer who our agency used many times. Quite a number of the grants were successful. She especially knows the health sector, is a very good writer, dependable and personable. I would highly recommend her.``<br /> ``I would highly recommend Alison if you are looking for a consultant who knows how to ask the right questions to align your mission with business objectives. Trust Alison to push you and your staff to reach higher to better serve your clientele.``
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
At the end of the day, you need to love what you do and feel passionate about how you are spending your time.
What’s your secret weapon?
Zero inbox for sure- it keeps me focused and efficient!!
What advice would you give to your younger self?
You can have many iterations of yourself - you don't have to know NOW where you will end up.
What is something that not many people know about you?
I love jigsaw puzzles, can do a 500 piece puzzle in one sitting, and find it extremely meditative.
