BBW Member interview with: Danni Lerner, Personal Concierge

What is your name and occupation?
Danni Lerner, Personal Concierge
What is your instagram handle?
@lernerconcierge
How long have you been a Boston Business Women’s Member?
Less than a year.
Were you born and raised in Boston? If not, what brought you here?
I was born and raised north of Boston, in Andover. I came to Boston for college and never left!
Tell us more about your job or company and what led you to your career?
Lerner Concierge is a personal concierge service that provides a personal assistant when you need one. You get all the benefits of a personal assistant without having an employee. We help you with your to-do list so that you can spend your valuable time where it matters. Some examples of the services we provide are errand running, vendor referral and management, household organization, event or travel planning, waiting services, internet research, opening/closing of home, and moving/ relocation services. Before Lerner Concierge, I was a postpartum doula. Along with teaching families about their newborns, I took care of anything else in their life to make the transition to parenthood easier. I ran errands, I picked up the house, did laundry, organized, and prepared food. I recently had my own baby and so I decided to move on from childcare and focus on providing any service I can to make someones life easier and more peaceful. I love to check off your list of items that you never have time to get to.
What would your clients say about you and your company?
My clients would say that I am reliable, professional, and easy to communicate with. You can typically get ahold of me 24/7. I've been called a godsend a few times! Clients are so appreciative to have that extra time back in their lives to spend with their family or on their own business.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Don't apologize for something that isn't your fault. As women, we have a tendency to say ``sorry`` for something that we are not responsible for. It's our way of saying, ``I feel for you``, but others often take it as a sign of blame.
What’s your favorite book?
Enginerds by Jarrett Lerner. My husband is a children's book author!
What’s your secret weapon?
My Planner! I cannot live without my planner. When I have many clients lists that I am juggling, having something in written form makes it so much easier to keep track of and cross off.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don't worry about what other people think of you, you do you!
What is something that not many people know about you?
I have run 3 marathons (Boston twice and New York once) and raised close to $15,000 for charity while doing it.
