THINK BIG
FOCUS ON THE DO’S NOT THE DON’TS – Set positive, SMART (*Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-bound*) goals. Write them down and set up an action plan with 3 steps that you’re going to take to meet each one. Set a reasonable deadline to achieving them. Put them somewhere you will see them every day, in your office and on your fridge at home, so they maintain themselves a priority in your mind.
CREATE A NETWORKING STRATEGY – Looking for opportunities? Find people that can help you develop opportunities to achieve your goals. Reach out to these people for a meeting and find ways to create mutually beneficial relationships. If there is someone you look up to within your desired industry, reach out to them and introduce yourself, there is no harm done in taking the initiative to make a connection. Networking isn’t just about handing out business cards, it’s far more about building meaningful relationships that help both individuals become more successful.
GET ORGANIZED – Organization drives success. In today’s world of electronics, we have so many methods to help us stay organized. Wunderlist, Slack, Asana, Google Calendar and the list goes on. Staying on top of your what’s, when’s, and why’s will elevate you in whatever business you’re in at home or in the office.
What investments do you need to make? – Taking a close look at what is actually helping your business grow and generate revenue can help you make wiser decisions that pay off for your company. You’re always spending time and money on your business, whether it’s investing in another full-time employee, upgrading technology or increasing supplies. Make sure you’re looking at the full picture and are investing wisely when making your next investment decision. Create a list of priorities and start investing from the top down.
